Teacher 00:22 I wanted to start off by saying Katie has been a joy to have in my classroom. She’s really been a model student. She’s been well behaved, a great example for other students on how to be a—positively interacts in the classroom. And academically, she’s doing great. I’m really pointing out her—she’s excelling in reading. She really is showing a love and desire to read, and I’m really impressed by that. I wanted to talk to you about a concern I had for her in her—how she is socially in the classroom. |
Strengths
And I want to say that Katie is such a joy to have in class. And a lot of the strengths that she has, she’s above grade level in reading, which is awesome. She always gets her work done on time, and she is closer at grade level in all other areas. So academically, she’s doing very well |

, right, so I just wanted to just just let you know that we’re here talking about Katie, not necessarily in an academic sense because, you know, her grades are really well in my class. She, she completes her assignments in a timely manner. She participates fairly well in class, but that’s kind of where we started seeing some issues I’d say, but Katie overall is doing very fine academically. Like I have no concerns for her completing my course at all and, and the rest of the school everybody (inaudible)… Parent 01:14 Teacher 01:14 Parent 01:22 Teacher 01:23 Parent 01:24 Teacher 01:58 Parent 01:58 Teacher 02:04 |

Teacher 00:42 Yeah. So, um, today, I just wanted you to come in so we can briefly discuss Katie’s social interactions and how she’s getting along with everyone in the classroom…And I just want to make sure that we are supporting all her needs in a in her academics and stuff. Teacher 01:29 I’m not necessarily worried. I’m just here to support Katie and all of her needs. So I’ve, just to help you get-get context, I’ve just noticed that Katie is obviously very passionate about reading. And she focuses on that a lot. But she, so it kind of, I see that she’s like alone a lot, or she wants to, when in when working with groups, she chooses to work alone, and that her interactions with students are limited. But I’m just here to support her needs and try to make a plan to help do so. So I just wanted to talk with you and debrief with you. |
