Note: The scoring is a bit off– to figure out your score, just count back from the total score. There were ten scoring items, but the automatic scoring also includes a point for each open choice item and the rating of the difficulty.
Okay. Well, yeah, so one of the reasons I called you in is I do want to make sure that it is nothing that I’m doing and that maybe you have suggestions for how to better support Katie, but I’ve also, before calling you in, would have the chance to talk to you some of Katie’s other teachers just to see how she was doing in those classes, and they tended to have a similar response in that she’s doing well academically but tended to stay…

Oh, um, that’s interesting that you say that it doesn’t sound like what Katie is normally like. Has she mentioned anything happening different at school?

Really?… I mean, I don’t think it’s that. I don’t think it’s the general—I think it might just be the environment of the classroom. Sometimes with all the other kids, it might be overwhelming for her. Or just in general, like with, sometimes with groups, that she doesn’t, she prefers to work alone, which is fine. I create those opportunities for her if she likes to work alone.

Okay. Well, I’ve noticed that Katie is Katie’s introverted by nature…And about to say, I hope that we both can agree with that. But…No, nothing wrong with that at all. But as her teacher, and as a student, it’s necessary to collaborate and work with other peers. But she more often than not prefers to work independently.

Mr. Reid 02:07 So if you’ve, if you’re noticing that then I don’t see any problem because that’s who she is. She’s an introvert. But the rest of it, this doesn’t sound like Katie at all.
