We build and study tools designed to help teachers strengthen their instructional practice. These include observation tools that measure and support shared, evidence-based languages of high-quality teaching, as well as simulation-based learning experiences that allow teachers to practice critical teaching skills in realistic classroom scenarios.

Transfer to the Classroom

While HQIM has raised the bar for what students learn, how it is taught remains inconsistent across classrooms. TeachSIM addresses this gap by combining practice, coaching, and ongoing data-driven learning, all grounded in shared, evidence-based languages of practice (e.g. TERIs), to help teachers translate what they learn into high-quality instruction that benefits all students.
